5 Spooky Ways to Celebrate Halloween in Albuquerque in 2021

Halloween is here, and Albuquerque is as great a place as any to celebrate! From fun social activities to actual haunts, there’s something for everyone. Are you traveling to New Mexico to finish the month of October? If so, New Mexico Rental Car reviews five opportunities to celebrate Halloween in Albuquerque.

5 Spooky Ways to Celebrate Halloween in Albuquerque in 2021

1. Haunted Pub Crawl

Who doesn’t like craft beer and Halloween? Fortunately, they pair together perfectly when you experience them at the Halloween Pub Crawl Trolley Tour. Enjoy 3 1/2 hours of costumed fun as you hit eight different breweries along the way. Enjoy discounts for seasonal brews and compete for the best costume prize at the end. Then again, is it really the end when an afterparty follows it?

2. Chapel of Our Lady of Guadalupe

This church in Old Town Albuquerque is home to The Lady in Black. Locals say she haunts the Chapel of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Out of nowhere, she’ll appear dressed in black, sitting in the pews, praying or crying. Ghost hunters say they have physical evidence of her presence, including electronic voice phenomenon and photo evidence. What might you see on Halloween in Albuquerque?

3. Hotel Parq Central

Cruise your rental car to the Apothecary Lounge, and venture out to the rooftop. Once there, enjoy the breathtaking views of the mountains and city as the sun sets on Halloween night. Then, remember that the hotel used to operate as a psychiatric hospital where patients emphatically said it was haunted. Stay a night, if you dare.

4. One Scary Night Halloween Party

When you need a break from haunted hotels, drive your traveling partners and head toward a Halloween party at the Salt Yards in your rental SUV. On Saturday, October 30th, the fun begins at 7:00 pm with three dance parties in one venue. Wear a costume and try to win the $1,000 grand prize. Get tickets in advance and navigate your way there for some well-deserved fun.

5. NM Slaughter House

Thrill-seekers will enjoy the NM Slaughter, a haunted house attraction that’s sure to give you chills. Follow your guide, “Nina,” the only child left unharmed by those who run the house. Navigate your way between walls, through hidden passages, and even through vents. Be careful not to get caught in one of “Leather Head’s” traps, though, or you might stay there forever. On second thought, you wouldn’t last long before the other children decide to share you as a snack. Doors open at 8:00 pm.
